E&I Installation & Commissioning

Al Nasr Full Field Development Project

Project Nasr FFD
Increasing production capacity from 22,000 bpd to 65,000 bpd
Location: United Arab Emirates
Duration: 2017 - 2019
Operator: ADMA/OPCO, EPC Contractor: NPCC
Scope: E&I construction and full commissioning

The Nasr Phase II Full Field Development Project, increased the field’s oil production capacity to 65,000 barrels per day (bpd) from the previous capacity of 22,000bpd. EPC Package 1 of the development was awarded to NPCC and involved the construction of seven wellhead towers, and installation of 110km of infield pipelines, an excess gas pipeline of 32km and an export oil line of 70km.

NPCC awarded Kent the E&I construction and full commissioning of 5 of the 7 Wellhead Towers. This included the complete installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, Telecommunications and Fire and Gas. Each Wellhead Tower consisted of 7 decks which were Helideck, Power Deck, Control Value Access Deck, Main Access Deck, Sump Tank Deck, and Jacket Walkway Deck.

During the course of the project we delivered over 1 million work hours LTI free with a peak of almost 400 people on site.

With a new commercial approach on the project, our team worked on an incentive based agreement whereby any hours worked over the target work hours proposed triggered a discounted incentive. Our productivity and excellence in delivery was well noted by the client and we were able to deliver Wellheads 7, 8 & 9 in record work hours.

We also provided our Commissionability™ service in order to review the client’s internal commissioning process. We were able to bring international best practice to not only meet but exceed the first commissioning target on the project. Our work made a direct contribution to meeting NPCC’s milestones on WHT 7, 8 and 9.
