Sustainability. by Kent

At Kent, we’re turning ambition into action. We’re facing the challenges of the energy transition head on and delivering real progress, not promises. Every project and innovation is driven by decisions that look to cleaner energy solutions, using our brilliant teams to identify and streamline processes that cause tangible environmental change. Following our principles to empower people and support communities to help them thrive, we look to decarbonise the process to source oil and gas and invest in renewables.

Change is created from within.

Our Approach to Sustainability

Informed by an independent materiality assessment conducted in 2022, our sustainability strategy, Sustainability. by Kent, focuses on three core pillars: empowering people to prosper, supporting a thriving plant and living with purpose and principles. These pillars guide our focuses on career development and opportunities, reducing carbon footprint and creating a culture of inclusiveness and belonging. Each pillar is supported by measurable targets and actionable roadmaps that ensure we remain accountable to our commitments and continue driving impactful change.

The Role of our Sustainability Council

Our Sustainability Council, led by our VP of Sustainability and sponsored by the CEO, plays a critical role in guiding our strategy. The council ensures a sustainability mindset is implemented across the business. Each focus area is monitored by a member of the council, who develops a roadmap and collaborates with working groups to track progress on targets. These efforts are localized and executed by operational leaders, who share insight and expertise to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
