Our Organisational Context

Kent is a global engineering services company. In the UK, Kent Energies UK Ltd represents an Engineering Projects and Consultancy business with with 434 employees (as of 5th April 2025) working across all energy markets. Our data for this year has been compared against our published report in 2024.

Our workforce gender balance is 24% women and 76% men, reflective of the engineering landscape in the UK, and this report examines gender pay gap across this population.

Enhanced family leave

We have recently announced that we will further enhance our family leave offering:

  • Birthing parents (this includes adoption, surrogacy and pregnancy loss): increased from 18 weeks to 26 weeks full pay
  • Non-birthing parents: increased from 4 weeks to 6 weeks full pay

STEM and volunteer days

All of the Kent team are able to benefit from two volunteer days per year. We encourage our employees to use these to support external STEM activities within academia, but with a real focus on Schools. The key to increasing the future pool of women in engineering is to promote this within schools, to get girls excited about engineering!

Inclusive Leadership

We have continued to invest in Inclusive Leadership capability across our People Managers, supported by our Kent Signature People Development programmes. 25% of our UK employees participated in Kent Signature Programmes throughout 2025.

Inclusion Blueprint

We are actively working towards gold standard in the Kent Inclusion Blueprint during 2026. This structured framework continues to support our ambition to create a fair and inclusive workplace aligned to our global Inclusion and Belonging strategy.
