OEUK North Sea CCS & Hydrogen Summit 2026

OEUK CCS H Social Media Card
1-2 June
Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Kent will be attending the OEUK North Sea CCS & Hydrogen Summit as a supporting sponsor, joining industry leaders, regulators, investors and supply chain partners to discuss the future of an integrated and resilient North Sea energy system.

As the sector moves from concept into deployment, the summit will focus on the practical challenges and opportunities shaping CCS and hydrogen development, including interoperability, carbon storage readiness, regulatory alignment and strengthening the long-term business case for low-carbon infrastructure.

Representing Kent at the event, Luigi Crolla, Kent’s Director of Energy Transition and Low Carbon Technologies, will be moderating the panel session “Foundational Projects in Hydrogen”, exploring the large-scale developments helping shape the UK’s future hydrogen economy. The discussion will focus on projects driving hydrogen production capacity and transportation infrastructure, alongside the role of repurposing existing assets, strategic infrastructure placement and cross-sector collaboration in enabling scalable hydrogen deployment. Drawing on Kent’s experience across hydrogen and low-carbon infrastructure, the session will examine the delivery challenges, partnerships and policy frameworks needed to accelerate progress across the sector.

Kent’s Emma Conway, Chief Process Safety Engineer, will also be speaking in the panel “From Planning to Execution: Derisking Opportunities – Hydrogen”, discussing how the hydrogen industry can reduce barriers to deployment across the full value chain. The session will explore the importance of strategic partnerships, consenting, market creation and policy alignment in supporting early project delivery and unlocking long-term decarbonisation ambitions. Emma will bring insight from Kent’s process safety and project delivery expertise, highlighting the practical steps needed to support safe, reliable and commercially viable hydrogen development.
