This week, we welcomed a group of talented graduates from diverse disciplines and functions to our three-year Graduate Development Programme in the UAE.
Amongst our graduates were 23 Emirati nationals who enrolled on the UAE government's training programme in partnership with Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and Nafis. Marking a significant step in our journey to contributing to and supporting the UAE's vision for economic competitiveness and growth.
During the event, we gave our graduates a complete panorama of Kent and their learning journey within the company. Dina Helal, Head of Outreach Business Development and Projects from ADGM, joined us and shared insights regarding the importance of Emiratisation and the National In-Country Value programme. We also welcomed Ali Al Foolathi, In Country Value Senior Vice President at ADNOC, who spoke about the importance of creating sustainable jobs for Emiratis and young professionals in the private sector in the UAE.
"Investing in new talent is not only the right thing to do, but it's also the smart thing to do, as at the heart of energy transition lies the next generation of leaders, visionaries and problem-solvers. Our UAE graduates programme works to nurture and support our young talent by providing a tailored hands-on experience, mentorship and knowledge development. Allowing us to contribute to the sustainable growth of the UAE and securing a brighter future for us all." - Matthew Bishop, SVP of Operations MEA.
With 2022 just coming to an end, we are proud to share that Kent met its Emiratisation goal for the year. And with such a strong start in 2023, we are certain that our Graduate Development Programme in the UAE will continue to grow and strengthen.
