Meet Karen Zhou, Principal Project Engineer at Kent, who shares her experience working on the Ampol Future Fuels Desulphurisation Project in Brisbane.

In her role, Karen leads a multidisciplinary engineering team on site, ensuring the smooth delivery of technical aspects for this federally mandated expansion project. From developing detailed installation work packs to overseeing construction, managing field issues, and ensuring accurate handovers, Karen and her team play a crucial role in helping the refinery meet Euro 6 fuel emissions legislation.

In this video, Karen reflects on the responsibilities of an engineer on site—managing technical challenges, collaborating with supervisors, and ensuring every detail is built to specification. She also shares how rewarding it can be to see the results of teamwork and technical expertise come to life in the field.
