Kent's Chris Avison will present at ADIPEC 2026 with a session titled "Reliable, low-carbon power for data centres: Is methane pyrolysis a solution ready to scale?".

As demand for large-scale data centres continues to accelerate, securing reliable and scalable power while reducing associated emissions has become a key discussion across both the energy and digital infrastructure industries. The presentation will explore the potential for methane pyrolysis to contribute to this challenge and examine whether the technology is ready to provide a lower-carbon power solution at the scale required by future data centre developments.

Drawing on Kent's extensive experience across low-carbon technologies, renewables and complex energy infrastructure, the session will consider the opportunities and challenges associated with deploying emerging power solutions and the role engineering can play in moving technologies towards commercial scale.
