About the Job:
Kent is looking for an Senior Engineer – Project Controls to be based in Mumbai, India.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Co-ordination and management of Project Controls including basic and detail planning, and scheduling of the Project (including the development and production of detailed plans/schedules for FEED Design, Basic Design, Detail Design & Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning of the project through to successful completion using current planning techniques and tools).
- Support management reporting and decision making.
- Assure proficiency in all aspects of planning, scheduling, resource allocation, progress planning, measuring, and monitoring.
- Probability analysis for the project completion.
- Interface with all disciplines, subcontractors, and client representatives at a senior level regarding planning coordination and integration.
- Interface with other project control functions and project control team leaders to maintain and where possible streamline work processes.
- Develop a Logic Network Schedule applying Primavera and implement effective planning and progress measurement process, providing management with recommendations, and the tools, to aid decision making and reporting.
- Development of the project Work Breakdown Structure.
- Perform critical path reviews, assessments, and mitigations once per month after schedule and progress status updates.
- Monitoring & controlling of project budget.
- Participate in project close-out activities.
- Interface with Cost, Cash flow and Forecasting.
- Identify the schedule risks and re-baseline, if necessary.
- Lead the preparation of Weekly and Monthly Project Report, Backlog analysis, Ageing analysis for internal stakeholders and client.
- Administer the project change control process and communicate implication of changes in project schedule. Steward the overall Change Management process.
Assist with as-building deliverables In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
- Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical or Mechanical) from Indian University (UGC approved) or from Overseas University. Professional Certification is an added advantage.
