About the job:

Kent is looking for a Project Procurement Lead to support the team on a project based in Ingleside, Texas. This individual will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities, supplier relationships, purchasing strategies, and delivery of materials to support successful project execution, while ensuring adherence to schedules, cost efficiency, and compliance with company procedures.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities for project materials, equipment, and subcontracted services throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with project requirements and schedules.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions and oversee purchase order execution.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and procurement risks.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, warehouse, and project management teams.
• Support expediting activities and proactively resolve procurement delays or supply chain disruptions.
• Negotiate commercial terms and maintain vendor relationships.
• Track procurement KPIs and provide reporting to project leadership.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and contractual obligations.
• Maintain procurement documentation and records for auditing and reporting purposes.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/Qualification/Training/Certification:

• 10+ years of procurement, supply chain, or sourcing experience within Oil & Gas, EPC, industrial, or energy projects.
• Experience managing procurement for large-scale projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of supplier management and procurement systems.
• Knowledge of commercial terms, contracts, and purchasing procedures.
• Experience with project execution environments preferred.

Communication:

• Read, write, and speak fluent English with the ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and external vendors.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced project environments.
• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
