Kent is looking for an experienced Mechanical (Static Equipment & Package), Senior Engineer to be based in Mumbai office, who will have around 9+ years of relevant basic and detail engineering experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry with large EPC companies or Engineering Consulting organizations.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Experienced Senior Mechanical – Static Equipment Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the Oil & Gas (Onshore/Offshore), Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical industry. Experience in the Sustainable, Renewable Energy and Decarbonization Projects are preferred. Skilled in Mechanical – Static Equipment Engineering and should have experienced in Conceptual Design, FEED, Basic & Detailed Engineering including EPC and EPCM Projects and Reverse Engineering for Revamp Projects.
Proficient in preparation / review of following mechanical deliverables:
- Preparation of Design Basis.
- Preparation of Technical Specifications for Equipment.
- Calculations of Static Equipment such as Column, Heat Exchanger, Storage Tank etc.
- Preparation of Mechanical Datasheets and Review of Static equipment drawings.
- Preparation of Material / Purchase requisition.
- Preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation after resolving technical queries with Vendors.
- Vendor Document Review and approval.
- Assist Lead / HOD on estimates.
Previous Experience in design selection of the following:
- Pressure Equipment,
- Storage Equipment,
- Thermal Equipment,
- Static Packages.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your education, skills and experience:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Mechanical/ Production/ Automobile Engineering.
- 9- 14 years of basic and detail engineering experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry.
- Candidates having experience i n Engineering office of Reputed Consulting Engineering Companies preferably in the field of Refinery, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Fertilizers, Oil & Gas will be preferred.
Your knowledge:
- International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices.
- Proficient with the engineering software viz. PVElite, Compress, NozzlePro, AME Tank / Hexagon Tank.
- Perform inter-discipline squad checks.
- Value Engineering & Optimization.
- Achieve Project Productivity and Schedule.
- Guide and mentor engineers.
- Quality management system and procedures.
- Project management and control procedures.
- Mechanical engineering workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination.
- Project Deliverables.
- Adherence to HSE norms.
- Proficiency in understanding of Plot Plan and P&IDs.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
Communication:
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Identify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
