Kent are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our high performing team on Shell's QGC business in the Surat Basin! This is an ideal role for residents of the local area or who reside in Brisbane. The work roster is 15 days on 13 days off, 10 hours per day.
Responsibilities:
• Execute assembling structural steel and fitting tasks on mechanical systems and plant equipment, safely and effectively as directed by COMPANY’s Project Construction supervisor /Construction management Team.
• Flange management
• Creating work orders as required of defects found.
• Inspect, test, adjust and repair equipment to satisfy appropriate Governing Standards.
• Work within OEM guidelines
• Execute assembling and fitting activities to ensure the highest standards in reliability and availability are achieved.
• Maintain records and databases for site specific equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance to manufacturers guidelines, maintenance agreements and warrantees.
• Participate in equipment performance checks.
• Active involvement in hazard hunts to identify potential hazards in the work place.
• Participate in HAZID reviews
• Participate in RCA
• Work within COMPANY HSSE & SP Framework •
Our ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Trade qualification and a White Card, supported by strong computing skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems such as Maximo. You will demonstrate a sound understanding of industry standards and functional assurance processes and be capable of constructively challenging and negotiating with peers, partners and contractors to drive improvements.
