Kent is looking for a Commissioning Manager to be based in Hazira, Surat, India who will be responsible for the development and ongoing management of the project commissioning team, while interfacing with other project departmental managers, the client, and vendors/sub-contractors.
Your responsibilities:
Primary Function:
- Accountable for ensuring all commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with project and company procedures in a safe, environmentally responsible manner.
- Accountable for the delivery of commissioning activities in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
- Accountable for ensuring high standards of commissioning are maintained and continuously improved.
Key Objectives:
- To assist in ensuring all project / company HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded.
- Ensure all commissioning personnel are aware of and implement safe working practices / procedures and are provided with a safe working environment.
- Effective liaison with any third-party client or verification body personnel.
- Deliver a high standard commissioning service to the project, ensuring a consistent and efficient approach is implemented at all times.
- Implement a continuous improvement philosophy across the commissioning function, delivering best practices at all times.
- Manage, support, and develop Commissioning personnel.
- Maintain and deliver the Commissioning function within budget and on schedule - where applicable implement cost /time saving initiatives.
- Ensure a safe and effective permit to work system is in place for all pre and comm
- Commissioning activities
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and direct the project commissioning team and personnel in the safe and structured delivery of the project commissioning process and objectives.
- Effectively manage the pre and commission personnel at all times to ensure the safe and efficient execution of the scope
- Continually strive to improve / develop the commissioning process and practices.
- Manage all project commissioning processes and activities.
- Manage the commissioning budget and costs
- Ensure all necessary sub-contracts, vendor contracts and other support are in place
- Ensure effective pre and commissioning document management system and process are in place and managed effectively
- Provide all necessary training to Commissioning personnel, ensuring all personnel are competent and possess the required qualifications/ skills and tools.
- Audit / review of the project commissioning process ensuring where applicable recommendations implemented.
- Third party verification body liaison
- Maintain the commissioning project schedule / cost deliverables
- Interface with the client representatives as required
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Qualification/ Certification: Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
Skills Requirement:
• Experience as a Project Commissioning Manager on large multi-billion-dollar project
• Extensive commissioning/commissioning management skills.
• Demonstrate high ethical conduct in areas of procurement, contracts, evaluation of contractors and all other areas associated with procurement.
• International experience is an asset
Communication:
- Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
