Kent is looking for a Lead Structural Designer to be based in Mumbai / Vadodara Office.

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Guide and Lead Team of designers.
• Deliver quality deliverables and model within project schedule.
• 3D modelling, extraction, and annotation of 2D drawings.
• Ensure Clash free model by performing clash checks and provide solutions to complex modelling and drafting issues.
• Follow and ensure quality processes for checking and incorporation of comments in drawings and model is followed. Lead and participate in 3D model reviews.
• Understand aspects of other engineering disciplines to contribute effectively.
• Understand & follow the interface management processes within the Project / Program.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and liaise effectively and efficiently with other team members within Department.
• Planning for self and subordinate training.
• Assist Lead Engineer to maintain team productivity for Project / Program.
• Assist Lead Engineer to meet the Schedule performance as per Project / Program.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge / skills, education and experience:

• ITI in Civil / Mechanical Draftsman ship / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Thorough knowledge in detailing of various offshore structures (Oil and Gas / Wind Farms).
• General Computer Applications - Windows operating systems.
• Drafting Software – Expertise in Inventor software and 2D tools such as AutoCAD / MicroStation as a minimum.
• Must have executed medium to large size projects.
• Strict adherence to quality and safety requirements and standards.

Communication:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Behaviour / Core Competencies:

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Focused with good attention to details.
• Primary interface for inter-departmental communication.
• Team player & problem solving.
• Adopting a flexible and open approach towards the needs of projects.
• Strong work ethics with a pragmatic approach.
