Kent in partnership with Valmec, has been contracted for the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) stage of the Kwinana Energy Transformation Hub (KETH) project.
The KETH is the flagship project of the Future Energy Exports CRC, through its subsidiary business Luth Eolas.
The facility will provide a globally unique, low-risk live environment for demonstrating new technologies and processes that will drive emissions reduction and decarbonisation of liquified natural gas (LNG) production, as well as support the development at the scale of the emerging hydrogen sector.
The open-source hub will feature a 800kg-per-day green hydrogen electrolyser and a 10 tonnes-per-day LNG facility as well as a broad range of testing site open to third parties.
The hub is an industrial-scale facility to research, test and demonstrate decarbonisation technology solutions for the energy industry.
The first-of-a-kind plant will also act as a certification of equipment and training for hydrogen and LNG facility operators.
We are excited to be collaborating with Valmec, to offer Luth Eolas an end-to-end delivery solution for the KETH and to enable future projects on the pathway to commercial hydrogen production in Australia.
