About the job:

Kent is seeking an I&C Engineer in Houston, Texas to support the local team/regional projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support I&C Engineering discipline out of the Houston office reporting to I&C Department manager.
• Rotate between projects in the regional market providing I&C support.

Your Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

Qualifications/Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
• Valid Texas P.E. (highly preferred)
• Valid TWIC card preferred.
• Knowledge of Instrumentation: in-line, tapped, relief, and basic
• Knowledge of DCS and PLC control systems
• Knowledge of some are all of the following codes and standards: PIP, ISA, IEC, NEMA, CSA, OSHA, API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, NEC
• Field experience at plant sites and of safety procedures
• Experience with I&C Package reviews
• Experience with multidiscipline reviews: P&IDs, ISOs, Electrical and Mechanical Packages
• Familiarity with safety systems is a plus (i.e. HAZOPs, HAZIDs, LOPAs and SIL Verifications)
• Familiarity with analyzers, shelters, and gas detectors is a plus

Skills Requirement:

• Experience with vendor calculation software, SPI, and Instrucalc or Conval
• Experience with Engineering Manhour Estimate tool(s)
• Additional software experience including CAD, 3D modelling viewer, Document Control and Microsoft Office.
