The Opportunities:

Kent is looking for a Project Telecommunications Technician to support Project Delivery embedded in our clients office in Perth. This work will include working with telecoms engineers for site audits, site works and project close outs.

This role is primarily based in Perth, with occasionalt site travel required, This role is available for someone to start immediately.

This is a Resources Sector role so we will need to see at least 5 years post-graduate experience in this field. Ideally you will have at least 3 years in Oil & Gas.

Your Responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Conducting site audits and surveys to establish baselines and make reservations for upcoming projects
• Working with Telecoms engineers and vendors to assemble workpacks, permits, schedule site visits, etc
• Installation and commissioning
• Project completion activities such as as-built drawing markups, handover to operations and close out reports

We would need to see this qualifications & experience…

• Cert IV in Communications, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
• Industry Safety Induction (ISI Training)
• Experience with design and installation of minor brownfields projects including permitting, change management, documentation, and updating drawings
• Experience in supporting at least two of the below systems would be advantageous:
  • Radio UHF (Tetra), VHF, Microwave
  • Radar, AIS, Satellite
  • CCTV
  • Access Control
  • PAGA
• Registered ACMA Cabling license required, MSIC, EEHA and HUET an advantage
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Minimum 10 years experience on diverse RF and Electronic Systems
• Experience working in an operational O&G environment
• Restricted Electrical License
