About the job:

Kent is seeking on-site Project Engineers with 5+ years of experience on projects in the refining & petrochemical industry. Process/Process Safety discipline. Project in Port Arthur, TX.

Project Development responsibilities for Process / Process Safety include developing client Project documentation as required:

(1) SOR - Statement of Requirements (what, when and how much),

(2) PDB – Project Design Basis (specs for feed/product, required performance of new facilities)

(3) RFP – Technical Request for Proposal of Engineering Services

(4) TBT – Technical Bid Tabs

(5) TIC – Estimate Class 5 (FEED gate) and Class 3 (EPC gate)

(6) PDP – Project Decision Package (presentation to support Peer Review and Management Review in Gate Committee)

(7) Report – Project Phase Close Out Report

Additional responsibilities:

  • Collect site specific data required for projects, from EDMS – electronic document management system, thru field walk of affected area/process units, from PI ProcessBook (site process data historian) and laboratory analysis reports
  • Review and comment on project documentation generated by 3rd party Engineering Service Suppliers specific to the engineering discipline, including: PFD, H&M Balance, P&ID, Datasheets, Hazop and C&E Matrix review
  • Organize project follow up meeting with Asset Owner (operations, process, HSE) and with 3rd party engineering service supplier, including specifically: SOR & PDB review, P&ID review, Hazop
  • Report project status and request approval of decisions to Project Dev. Supt. on bi-weekly basis
