About the Job:
In this critical role, as the Principal Technical Safety Engineer you will have direct responsibility for developing our safety team and maintaining and developing client relationships with our clients. You will be expected to liaise with other technical groups within Kent as well as our technical safety teams in our global hubs to provide high quality solutions to our clients.
You will act as the Technical Authority on various scopes of work, with responsibility for a core group of engineers, utilising your proven business and technical skills. You will be expected to utilise your proven client management and business development skills to build and develop the Technical Safety business.
You will support the Head of Discipline with the development of the strategy and direction of the Brisbane Technical Safety Team and be able to contribute towards the development of numerous business activities that Kent provides to the Oil and Gas Industry.
As a degree qualified engineer you will have a substantial level of Oil and Gas experience as a Safety Professional. You will boast business development skills and have a good understanding of operations and integrity interfaces and a good appreciation of clients’ business risk drivers. You will have strong management skills with a proven ability to supervise a team of growing safety engineers.
You would of delivered all aspects of safety engineering, risk assessments, risk management and safety cases.
You will be technically competent in risk analysis and risk management (HAZID, QRA, FEA, reliability and availability) along with practical safety case skills, authoring ALARP studies and consequence modeling.
You will have a demonstrated systematic and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail and with initiative and lateral thinking skills in developing solutions and in the methodologies employed. Your technical writing skills will be well developed and have extremely effective communication.
