The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Mechanical Operator Maintainer to perform both corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance along the transmissions pipeline on the QGC project. The office is based in Chinchilla, however this position will have you working anywhere from Ruby Jo, up to Gladstone, so would suite someone who enjoys a dynamic working roster.

This position would suit an individual who is mechanically trained but also has a strong background in servicing diesel engines, including CAT equipment, Gas Engines, Some HPU equipment and Gas Gensets.

This role is offered to residents of the local area and extended to candidates who reside in Brisbane. The work roster is 15 days on 13 days off, 10 hours per day.

• Flange management
• Carry out pipeline surveillance, data gathering, basic maintenance of valves, pumps, piping and tanks or as directed by the Pipeline supervisor
• Maintain and Authorise third party work permits and records
• Observe breakdowns of pipeline coatings and report leaks, weeps, unusual discolouration
• Carry out routine pigging and observe key pipeline pressures during this process
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Compile and maintain Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s)
• Assist in the drafting and revision of Isolation Procedures for Mechanical maintenance
• Provide on-site representation for Operations during all third part activities , overseeing and coordinating of testing and commissioning activities for mechanical equipment
• Manage contingencies during forced outages by preparing and executing contingency plans for critical works or shutdowns;
• Maintain maintenance records through effective documentation in conjunction within Maximo CMMS ensuring all history and follow-up work is captured.

• Permit Creation & Permit Holder Experience
• ISI Induction preferable
