The Opportunities:

Kent is looking for both a Network Engineer & a Senior Network Engineer to join our team, supporting our Oil & Gas clients.

These roles are based in Perth on a standard 5-day week, working 9 hour days starting immediately.

This is a Resources Sector role so ideally you will have at least 3 years in Oil & Gas.

Your Responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Helps designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure according to business requirements and objectives.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems
  • Installs, commissions, maintains, replaces, and decommissions network equipment and hardware components when required.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, info sec policies and procedures in the provision and operation of systems.
  • Helping to develop short and long-term plans for updating equipment, adding capabilities, enhancing existing systems and providing improved telecommunications
  • Develop and document low level designs and bill of materials across multiple technology functions such as WAN, LAN, Wireless, and Security.
  • Develop, document, represent and execute technical change management and testing to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Collaborate with Service Provider Engineers to identify any technology or
  • architectural interdependencies with projects

We would need to see this qualifications & experience…

  • 7-10 years of experience managing the Network Infrastructure in enterprise environment.
  • Designing and maintaining VLANs, SANs, WANs, and LANs.
  • Design of routing protocols with BGP, QoS and MPLS
  • Strong SD-WAN experience
  • Good understanding of Data Centre networking architecture
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Azure
  • CCNP certification or equivalent.
