About the job:

The successful candidate will report to E&I Discipline Manager and will be assigned to various projects associated with the Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals industry as directed by the Project Management group.


The candidate will possess a solid understanding of I&C design principles complemented by practical working experience within Oil and Gas processing facilities. The candidate is required to be a well-organized and effective communicator. The candidate will be able to work independently, lead a team of professionals (engineers and designers) and be effective when working in a team environment.


Roles and responsibilities:
Qualifications:
  • Degree/Diploma specializing in Instrumentation and Control Systems from an accredited University or College.
  • 15+ years of instrumentation design experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Registration through APEGA as a P.ENG/P.L. (ENG).
Additional Requirements
  • Experience using Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI).
  • Experience with Analyzers would be an asset
  • Strong client focus; able to represent the company professionally when communicating with clients and visiting client sites
  • Experience with Imperial, Shell and Suncor projects will be considered an asset.
  • Works with minimal supervision manages own time effectively and maintains control over all current projects/responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international codes (CEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, API, NEMA, etc.)
  • Very good communication and report-writing skills in English.
  • Demonstrate a high regard for safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures.
