The Opportunities:

Kent is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team, supporting our Oil & Gas clients. We are looking for someone to work on an initial 6-month contract, with high chance of continued extension.

This role is based in Perth on a standard 5-day week, working 9 hour days starting immediately.

This is a Resources Sector role so we will need to see at least 5 years post-graduate experience in this field. Ideally you will have at least 3 years in Oil & Gas.

Your Responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the creation of business cases specific to technical projects
  • Creating / reviewing scopes of work for the engagement of 3rd party vendors
  • Peer reviews of all Technical Requests
  • Assisting in the Quality assurances of technical deliverables by project & associated documentation
  • Providing approvals for new server requests / capacity increases for Computer and Storage Requests as part of BAU (Infrastructure Engineer)
  • Collaboration with Lead Architects & Engineers to identify technology & architectural interdependencies with projects (Network Engineer)

We would need to see this qualifications & experience…

  • Tertiary Qualification in Business Information Systems or Information Technology
  • Experience in enterprise Technical Architectures (inc. Technical, Virtualisation & Security architecture) in a complex enterprise
  • Understanding of Public Cloud Integration specifically Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in stakeholder management & collaboration
  • Previous offshore/ onshore IT management experience
  • Strong written & verbal communication
  • Architecting and maintaining VLANs, SANs, WANs & LANs
  • Network Backbones/ Service Provider & Design Data Centre Network Architectures
  • Design of Routing Protocols
  • Software defined networks & application for cloud services
