About the role:
The Graduate Mechanical/Piping Engineer is responsible for aspects of mechanical engineering design to meet the technical competency expectations of Kent and its clients. As a member of the Brownfields engineering team you will work closely and need to communicate effectively with the other disciplines, Kent management and client representatives to ensure the company’s reputation for high quality products and services is maintained. As a member of the graduate community, you will be expected to rotate through different business functions to develop a more comprehensive understanding of Kent business streams and processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Perform all work in accordance with the Kent Quality Management and Health, Safety & Security System and within agreed time and schedule constraints.
Ensuring all calculations and design work is prepared in accordance with the Kent Quality Management System.
The provision of highly professional services tailored to meet the needs of our clients.
The delivery of mechanical engineering design in accordance with the relevant industry codes and standards whilst meeting best engineering practice.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Membership of Institution of Engineers Australia (IE Aust) or Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) would be an advantage.
Solid academic results.
The role requires excellent written and verbal communication, team working and problem-solving skills.
Relevant vacation work e.g., in oil and gas design or operating environment.
