The Opportunity:

This key role of Design Coordinator will be on a rotational basis between Australia and India (Mumbai). The Design Coordinator is responsible for contributing to all aspects of project delivery to meet the technical requirements of Kent and its client on the Future Fuels project.

As a senior member of the project team, you will report to and work closely with the Future Fuels Project Lead Designer. This role requires and effective communicator that can coordinate across a multi-discipline team across various regions including Australia, India, and the USA as well as Kent management and client representatives to ensure the company’s reputation for high quality products and services is maintained.

All senior roles include responsibility for discipline input to estimates and proposals, and subsequent production of design deliverables within agreed budget and schedule constraints.

• Key responsibilities include:Being the design point of contact for Australian home office team in Mumbai.
• Build a motivated team focused on delivering a fit for Purpose design to schedule in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure the quality and timely delivery of deliverables.
• Perform all work in accordance with the Kent Quality Management System and within agreed project time and schedule constraints.
• Contribute to the professional development of the designers on the project in Mumbai, provide technical oversight and guidance where required/ in consultation with the Lead Designer in Australia.
• Responsible for the deliverables produced by the design team including distribution and allocation of work amongst the team and ensure checking procedures are adhered to.
• Liaise with the other members of the team and other disciplines to ensure all design requirements are addressed.
• Liaise with clients engineering, construction, and operations personnel to ensure all project requirements have been addressed.
• Preparation of man-hours, change requests and variations.
• Run model reviews where required.
• Development of ‘best-practice’ guidelines for the team in the production of deliverables and inputs for the multidiscipline team members.
• Cultural awareness and ways of working in India.
