We have developed a state-of-the-art lecture hall and computer lab in Abu Dhabi, where you’ll engage in a variety of technical and non-technical training, site visits (where appropriate), mentoring, team challenges, networking opportunities, and presentations to senior management. We’ll provide the hands-on experience, knowledge, and skills you need to kickstart your career in the energy sector. You will learn from and work alongside experts in the industry .
Phase 1: Foundational Training
Start with the basics. You'll receive comprehensive training on the core principles of engineering and the energy industry. This phase covers essential topics such as safety protocols, project management fundamentals, and an introduction to industry standards. You'll be equipped with the foundational knowledge necessary for success.
Phase 2: Design Software Proficiency
Get hands-on with industry-leading design software. This phase focuses on building your proficiency in the tools and technologies used in the field. You'll learn to navigate and utilise design software efficiently, creating accurate and professional-grade drafts and designs. This practical experience ensures you're ready to contribute from day one.
Phase 3: Mastering Drafting/Designing
Apply your skills in real-world scenarios. This phase will help you develop advanced drafting and designing techniques, to work on actual projects and receive mentorship from our professionals. You'll refine your abilities, gaining the confidence and expertise needed to excel in your role as a designer/drafter.

1. What is the UAE Designer and Drafters Training Programme?
This programme is a training initiative designed to support young Emirati high school graduates and engineering diploma holders. It immerses participants in the energy engineering project environment, providing them with hands-on experience, technical and non-technical training, and mentorship.

The programme is open to Emirati high school graduates and individuals with an engineering diploma who are eager to start a career in the energy sector. 3. What kind of training will participants receive?
Participants will undergo three phases of training: foundational training, proficiency in design software, and mastering drafting and designing. This includes both theoretical knowledge and practical, real-world project experience. These three training phases will be followed by the opportunity to seamlessly transition into our designer/drafter team. Please note that a position at Kent is not guaranteed and is subject to a performance review and the available vacancies at the time of enrollment.
