About the job:

Kent is looking for outstanding candidates to join our successful Oil & Gas division within our Engineering and Consulting business. Within the Oil & Gas division, our services are focused on upstream operations engineering (i.e., maintaining safe and efficient operations for operators), and offshore engineering - encompassing fixed, floating, and subsea facilities. We support oil and gas facilities around the world and we are the operators’ ‘go to’ company for complex problems in design, engineering, integrity management, structural analysis, life extension, and ultimately decommissioning.

Our structural teams work on some of the most exciting and varied projects in the onshore and offshore Oil & Gas sector.

Our Engineering and Consultancy business is delivering engineering, design and consultancy solutions to the renewables, low carbon, and oil and gas sectors all over the world. Although your role will focus on the Oil & Gas market, you may also be called upon to support projects in other markets, such as supporting our industry-leading work in Offshore Wind structural design and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support the delivery of structural projects for all types of assets for key North Sea clients for all types of offshore facilities including fixed, floating, and subsea structures.

· Working as part of an integrated team covering client interaction and delivery from multiple locations.

· Working through all stages of the structural integrity management cycle, including work scope definition, preparation of inspection workbooks, offshore enactment (offshore surveys and/or onshore support to surveys), structural assessment, anomaly management (risk ranking), repair orders, Risk Based Inspections, etc.

· Develop technical and project skills through targeted training, on the job experience, mentoring, and continuing professional development.

· Opportunities for offshore structural integrity surveys (e.g. GVIs).

· Focus on the Oil & Gas market, you may also be called upon to support projects in other markets, such as supporting our industry-leading work in the Offshore Wind market.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

· Engineering degree, honours or equivalent in civil, mechanical, or structural engineering, naval architecture or similar.

· Demonstrable experience or university background in a relevant area of structural integrity management.

· Ability to quickly understand and implement new areas of technical knowledge.

· An inquisitive attitude, and the drive to seek out and progress areas for improvement.

· Adaptability, and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple demands.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to write accurate, detailed, and concise technical reports (e.g. inspection workbooks, Risk Based Inspection reports, inspection deferrals, Annual Structural Integrity Reports, etc).

· Ability to effectively engage with, and work as part of, a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

· Enjoy new challenges and are keen to learn, whilst also wanting to support others within our diverse teams.

· Working on multiple fast-paced projects, balancing the need for high-quality structural integrity management scopes with the need to deliver within required time and cost budgets.

· Experience relevant to fixed and/or floating offshore structures, such as offshore oil & gas structures.

· Knowledge and understanding of offshore inspection techniques, their application, strengths and limitations.

· Offshore experience beneficial.

We are committed to our diverse and inclusive community - a place where we can all be ourselves, thrive and develop. From day one, we offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, and employee networks to support staff from different backgrounds.

As an Equal Opportunities Employer, we value applications from all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities.
