Kent is recruiting for a Site Engineering Coordinator (EPCm). You will be an integrated part of the EPCm team managing projects on behalf of Kent and our Client. You will be required to support all phases of the projects to suit the needs and requirements of Kent as well as our Client.
It will Rotational Positions - 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off basis.

Skills and Responsibilities:
  • Assist and contribute to the project to meet its safety targets and advise on safety improvements.
  • Ensure the job site remains safe.
  • Assist the team leader and management and be a team player, collaborate, and add value to the assigned project.
  • Coordinate/Communicate with all disciplines, Contractor, and Client.
  • Assist and support the project and team leader to manage all site aspects of projects from early stage to implementation and handover.
  • Must have excellent communication skills to collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects and engineers.
  • Fully aware of all types of equipment required for a successful site execution.
  • Assist in finding vendors / subcontractors suitable for the site.
  • Identify all services required to make the site activities successful and find suitable vendors or subcontractors to carry out these services.
  • Be the main point of contact for the site engineers on issues relating site activities.
  • Directly liaise with local authorities for site inspection and certification where required.
  • Promote and manage site events.
  • Support the project and team leader in coordinating with the project team internally and in other functions as well as with clients, as required, to develop/finalise construction methodologies suitable for the site, processes and procedures to meet their project needs with the ability to interpret Client specifications.
  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
  • Understand site construction issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions to suit the site in conjunction with the line managers, and advise Client if necessary, and ask for assistance when required.
  • If required, assist, support and help in developing junior personnel within the team.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal / contract by raising technical queries relevant to own field with projects / client.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and site construction innovations.
  • Preparing work schedules for contractors and labourers and estimate required resources to meet projects plans.
  • Liaising with engineers/technicians to ensure updates to technical standards are maintained and disseminated to the team.
  • Reviewing and monitoring the professional man hours and assessing the progress and quality of work.
  • Performing fieldwork is necessary to gather field data, check tie-ins and provide construction support.
  • Reviewing fabrication drawings and other construction submittals for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Providing training to team members on safety precautions, company policies, and job skills.
  • Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work.
  • Awareness of project resource requirements for site in conjunction, develop forecasts and discuss with the line manager.
  • Adhere to the best practices, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of computer software in relevant site construction.
  • Maintaining project site documentation.
  • Ensure project site is suitable for inspecting material, storing, maintaining, marking, identifying and documenting.
  • Discuss construction processes, and work closely with engineers to agree method statements that ensure safe and efficient execution at site.
  • Estimate costs and ensure the project is on budget.
  • Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Qualification/ Certification:
  • Bachelor in Engineering
  • As minimum 15 years, including 3 years (preferred) in Iraq
