The Opportunity
As the Site Document Controller, you will support the Senior Document Controller in the adherence of the document management systems; including but not limited to management of Vendor Data documents, managing the relationship with Vendors to ensure timely turnaround of contractual document requirements; continuous improvement of processes within Document Controls and assisting the Document Control team where necessary.

In this role, you will undertake the following duties
  • Support the maintenance of the project information systems (Aconex & SDx) to ensure they are kept up to date and correct.
  • Provides up-to-date information flow, project personnel in accordance with project schedule and procedural requirements.
  • Attends regular department meetings, with emphasis on HSE.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports in relation to all vendor document controls activities within the project.
  • Liaising with all package managers and discipline groups on the project to ensure vendor documents are managed efficiently for the project.
  • Carry out the document control function effectively and efficiently and contribute to the improvement and overall quality of document controls services on the Project.
  • Support the Senior Document Controller in the usage of Aconex and adhere to appropriate standards, procedures, guidelines, and industry “best practices” to ensure the consistent utilization of Aconex on all Projects.
  • Support the document control team, where required, in the efficient and effective delivery of the document control services on the project.
Skills Requirement
  • Ideally experienced in multi–Discipline Oil & Gas sector working for a contracting company.
  • Proven interpersonal and relationship skills, self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Proven track record with recognised international standard contracting companies.
  • Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timelymanner.
  • Computer literate especially with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Qualification/ Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Document Controller, including Vendor Data Management.
  • Knowledgeable of current industry and technical developments.
  • Good negotiating skills to be able to work with customers (both internal and external) to meet project objectives.
  • Recent use of Aconex Supplier Documents Module will be an advantage.
  • Successful performance of Document Control roles supporting project engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning groups in delivery of successful projects.
  • Practical experience of operating Document Control in a subcontract and direct labour force environment.
  • Practical experience of Document Controls functions in a range of cultural and geographical and complex environments.
  • Good working knowledge of document management applications
  • Ideally experienced in multi–Discipline Oil & Gas sector working for a contracting company.
