About the Job:
As the Senior Technical Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting projects & clients with Safety Engineering including:
You will liaise with our other technical groups within Kent APAC, as well as our established safety teams in the UK and Houston to provide a high-quality solution to the client. You will have responsibility, supported and directed by the Discipline Head and/or senior management, for developing junior members of our safety team and for maintaining and developing relationships with our clients both existing and new.
You will utilise your proven client, technical and project management skills to build and develop the Technical Safety business. This will require your involvement and familiarity with Kent business systems, their use and deployment.
You will act as the Project Engineer on appropriate scopes of work, maximising your existing knowledge of all Kent Project Management tools.
As a degree qualified engineer you will have a substantial level of Oil and Gas experience as a Safety Professional. You will have good management skills with a proven ability to supervise a team of growing safety engineers. You will have a proven track record in client management and business development and an understanding of operations and integrity interfaces and a good appreciation of clients’ business risk drivers.
You will be technically competent in risk analysis and risk management (HAZID, QRA, FEA, FSAs, reliability and availability) along with practical safety case skills, authoring ALARP studies and consequence modeling and be experienced in the use of software including PHAST, CIRRUS, FRED, FLACS, CANARY, STAR CCM.
You will have a demonstrated systematic and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail and with initiative and lateral thinking skills in developing solutions and in the methodologies employed. Your technical writing skills will be well developed and have extremely effective communication.
