The Opportunity:

As a Senior Subcontract Specialist, you'll be the driving force behind our contractual success, ensuring every obligation is not only met but exceeded. Your mission: deliver excellence on time while maximizing financial returns for the company.

In this role, you will uphold Kent’s Quality, Governance, and Safety standards by collaborating with the Project Commercial Manager and team on all subcontract matters. Provide strategic contractual advice, negotiate terms, prepare tender documents, and manage subcontract formation and variations. Focus on resolving disputes, optimizing costs, and ensuring successful contract delivery. Partner with project leaders to develop effective strategies while monitoring budgets and providing financial insights. Ensure compliance, timely issue resolution, and smooth contract handovers, fully committing to the implementation of Kent Management System (KMS) procedures.

Your knowledge/ skills, education, and experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Procurement, Business, Law or Commerce degree or Diploma, preferably have RICS qualification
• 5 years minimum experience in similar position and industry
• Experience within complex project environment, particularly Oil and Gas, Energy, EPC, infrastructure highly desirable.
• Must be numerically proficient with a strong understanding of commercial principles.
• Oracle or similar ERP systems knowledge an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with partners and key stakeholders
• Experience in quantity surveyor, to estimate costs, quantities and time scales for material and labour. Assigning work to subcontractors, valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments.
