Scope of Work:
Kent has been awarded a project to conduct a FEED study for the UDWT facilities in Al-Khafji. The main scopes of the FEED are defined below:
- Upgrade of Khafji Desalter Facilities
- Upgrading Water Treatment Plant and Related Facilities: WTF-3 expansion
- Upgrading Water Treatment Plant and Related Facilities: WTF-2 upgrading/ Receiving Facilities /Reclaiming System
- Upgrading Water Treatment Plant and Related Facilities: WTF-2 expansion
The project Upgrading of Khafji Desalter Facilities (covered by one DBSP) focuses on designing the liquid treatment system at Al Khafji to sustain an average production of 300,000 BPD of sweet crude for the next 20 years, while managing a water cut increase to 60%. To achieve this, a new greenfield facility will be constructed to enhance onshore separating and desalting processes.
Key Requirements:
- Manages and leads all activities related to project planning and accountable for developing the overall EPC Master Schedule.
- Set up the project EPC Master Schedule.
- Ensures planning and progress measurement procedures for contractors and vendors conform to Project requirements and are effectively applied.
- Ensures that the detailed planning of the various phases of the work is in accordance with the project strategy and milestones to achieve the overall project plan.
- Responsibilities typically include:
- Project controls: reporting, forecasting and cost control.
- Identification of Risks in schedules and mitigation actions
- Identification of Opportunities in the schedule.
