About the Job:

Kent are looking for a Senior Global Transfer Pricing Manager, who will be responsible for all Kent’s transfer pricing matters globally. This newly created role will be based in Kent’s vibrant and rapidly growing Mumbai office, where several hundred group employees are based.

The role reports to the group’s Senior Vice President for Tax and Treasury based in Kent’s global headquarters in Dubai and is likely to require occasional travel there. Kent operates in over 30 countries in all parts of the world, and so broad and diverse transfer pricing experience is required, however there will be a notable portion of the role dedicated to Indian transfer pricing matters.

Kent is a fast-growing business that embraces change, and the role the tax function adapts and changes accordingly to support the business. The individual undertaking this role will be expected to be flexible and embrace change within the business.

Skills and Responsibilities:

You will be expected to:

• Monitor the group’s activities and ensure it is fully compliant with all global transfer pricing requirements
• Develop, implement, monitor and maintain all transfer pricing policies and procedures
• Have responsibility for the preparation and submission of the group’s Masterfile, and Local Files in all jurisdictions in which they are required.
• Work closely with central tax team to ensure CBCR notifications and filings are appropriately made
• Ensure the group maintains contemporaneous documentation to support its operating model to all stakeholders
• Present and explain the transfer pricing model and compliance status to auditors and other stakeholders
• Manage and evolve the group’s transfer pricing model as the business grows, both organically and via M&A
• Identify opportunities for advance pricing agreements, and manage application process
• Manage transfer pricing aspects of tax audits for all Kent group entities
• Monitor risk of withholding tax on intergroup payments and work with central tax team to ensure compliance
• Work independently, communicating directly with all areas of the business
• Manage relationships with advisors globally on all transfer pricing matters
• The role covers all aspects of transfer pricing, including ensuring that the pricing of intergroup debt is at arm’s length, although it is anticipated that managing intergroup trading activities will require most of the role’s time.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

• 10+ years transfer pricing experience including several years with a top professional services firm
• Significant experience of transfer pricing rules in multiple jurisdictions, ideally including India, the Middle East, Europe and the US.
• Previous in-house experience is preferable, however not essential
• An undergraduate degree from a reputable institution

Communication:

• Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

• Strong understanding of global transfer pricing rules and developments to undertake the tasks outlined above
• Solid understanding of international tax principles
• Ability to work independently, the expectation is this individual will tell the business what needs to be done and how to do it, rather than be told what to do
• Energy and enthusiasm for the role
