Kent | Senior Field Engineer

Kent is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Field Engineer (EPCm). You will be an integrated part of the EPCm team managing projects with Kent on behalf of our Client. You will be required to support all phases of the projects to suit the needs and requirements of Kent as well as our Client.

It will be a rotational position - 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off basis.

Your responsibilities:

Be a team leader, manage, and add value to the assigned project
Manage Coordination/Communication with other disciplines, Contractors and Client.
Review Client’s deliverables, as required, and ensure all engineering and design work performed meets quality, cost and schedule requirements.
Ensure all design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the Client or to agreed industry standards.
Carry out and participate in site surveys, review site reports and ensure it is as per actual site conditions.
Duties include, as applicable to own field, photographs and field notes, physical measurements using calibrated equipment, review of changes, application of specifications…etc.
If required, perform designing/engineering work/deliverables as part of the team.
Ability to interpret Client specifications.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system.
Consult Quality Assurance with any quality issues, ensuring compliance with ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures.
Identifying issues and problems, developing appropriate solutions, advising Client, and asking for assistance when required
Where required, assist, and support junior personnel within the team
Provide support during fabrication, site construction, and commissioning activities
Identifies and resolves discrepancies and divergences from original proposal / contract by raising technical queries with projects / client.
Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering.
Working knowledge of Electrical deliverables such as load list, power calculations, Datasheets, Specifications, Requisitions, Installation and Hookup Drawings, P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Electrical equipment Location Layouts, System Block Diagram, etc.
Understanding of Electrical Calculation and equipment Selection.
Knowledge with interfacing Control Systems like PLCs, DCS, ESD, F&G, MMS, and prepare engineering documents like IO List, Logic Diagrams, Loop Drawings, C&E diagrams, Narratives.
Good knowledge of Vendors Technical Bid Evaluations processes.
Being able to work with multiple and concurrently small and medium projects.
Working knowledge of software’s like Smart Plant, AVEVA and AutoCAD.
Working knowledge (design/implementation) of Electrical Networks is a plus.
Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Verification and documentation that all work, as applicable to own field, is being constructed in accordance with the construction contract.
As the project nears completion, determine Contractor achievement of both Substantial Completion and Final Completion documentation/dossier.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum 15 years relevant experience
Have worked for at least 5 years in similar positions for an international company
