We focus on digital engineering, IOC, asset lifecycle management, EPC4.0, and digital asset development to streamline operations and optimize performance for our clients. Our team of experts is committed to delivering exceptional service, driving innovation, and promoting sustainability in the energy sector.


We are looking for a seasoned Value Chain Optimization Specialist with 10-15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly with a strong working knowledge of operations in the Middle East. The Value Chain Optimization Specialist will provide expert advice and specialized guidance on Value chain Optimization matters within the oil and gas industry. This role involves providing functional support to leadership teams and engineers within assets, ensuring compliance with local specifications and standards, and facilitating the effective adoption of new methodologies and technologies to enhance production, optimize productivity, and mitigate risks. The specialist will also support corporate teams in achieving their objectives in areas such as Technology Management, Technical Challenges, Standard Practices, and Knowledge Sharing.


Your primary role will be to handle various enterprise level optimization including local and global constraints of multiple operating facilities under the client’s portfolio. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in RTO and associated simulation applications in the areas of Oil & Gas industry. Moreover, the successful candidate should have extensive experience and in-depth knowledge to analyze and reconcile data, using models for optimization studies.


Skills and Responsibilities:


  • Responsibilities:Develop and implement real-time optimization models to enhance overall operational performance, including crude selection, blending, process adjustments, and product optimization.
  • Design and implement advanced optimization strategies to drive efficiency improvements across oil and gas operation’s whole production system (reservoir, wells, networks, plants).
  • Responsible for holistic, cross-domain coordination and planning for optimal resource allocation and activity prioritization across the different departments of the organization. It involves the integration of production plans, logistic plans, project plans, maintenance plans, and drilling plans. etc.
  • Monitor Production Quota plans, Export plans, and schedules to ensure that all targets and goals are met.
  • Monitor and analyze real-time data to identify opportunities for process improvements and immediate corrective actions.
  • Support the implementation of advanced process control (APC) strategies to stabilize and optimize oil & gas operations.
  • Align real-time optimization efforts with supply chain and market conditions, ensuring that oil & gas operations are responsive to fluctuations in crude oil supply, product demand, and pricing.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize feedstock selection, inventory management, and product distribution.
  • Identify and mitigate potential operational risks associated with real-time optimization activities, such as process disturbances, equipment malfunctions, and market fluctuations.
  • Perform advanced analysis on process data using tools such as Monte Carlo simulations, generative adversarial networks, and linear programming optimization.
  • Develop and maintain models to forecast key performance metrics, including product yield, energy consumption, and emissions.
  • Presents tools, insights, and reports to all business levels, including senior leadership.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions to build awareness and capability around value chain optimization within the organization.
  • Captures value chain optimization related lessons learned / best practices and ensures their communication across client’s Assets. Promotes knowledge sharing between teams through forums, workshops, etc. Coordinate with enterprise HQ, shareholders and other assets on relevant Optimization activities to ensure best practices are captured and implemented at corporate level.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in production optimization technologies and best practices, particularly those relevant to the oil and gas sector.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative solutions to enhance energy efficiency.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.


Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:


  • Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
  • Communication:Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
  • Behavior/ Core Competencies:Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on enterprise value chain optimization, and real-time optimization.
  • Broad and deep engineering understanding of the whole production system (reservoir, wells, networks, plants).
  • Proven experience working in the Middle East region, with an understanding of local specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools and techniques, including Monte Carlo simulations, generative adversarial networks, and linear programming optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise guidance and support to corporate teams and engineers.
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets and develop actionable insights that drive enterprise level production optimization.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence organizational change in optimization and value chain management practices.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse environments, including on-site visits to oil and gas facilities.
