Kent supported with the engineering and planning required to migrate critical Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) and telecommunications infrastructure from an existing control room to a new facility.

The project required the development of engineering documentation, procurement and construction tender packages, and issued-for-construction deliverables to facilitate the transfer of essential operational technology systems while maintaining uninterrupted plant operations. A key objective was ensuring the migration could be executed with zero shutdowns and no disruption to critical services.

Working within stringent operational and cybersecurity requirements, Kent developed a comprehensive migration strategy and engineering framework to support the safe transition of control, communications, safety, and security systems to the new control environment.

**Scope:**

- Develop engineering documents and drawings to support the migration of ICSS and telecommunications systems to a new control room facility
- Prepare procurement and construction tender packages
- Develop migration plans to ensure zero shutdown requirements and uninterrupted operational services
- Design migration solutions for monitoring systems and engineer the relocation of operator consoles and safety systems
- Define system interfaces and operational continuity requirements to minimise risk during migration activities
- Ensure compliance with operational technology (OT) and cybersecurity requirements in accordance with client specifications
- Support the development of a secure, resilient control room environment capable of supporting future operational requirements
