The Opportunity


We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector - In this role, you will ensure that detailed quality related activities are undertaken on the project, assuring that the product offered by the relevant project resources complies with the contractual requirements of the client and that the company KMS (Kent Integrated Management System) are fully implemented.


In this role, you will undertake the following duties:

  • Reporting to the Site QA/QC Lead, you will work with the rest of the construction and site-based team members to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • As part of the role, you will be required to use construction management tools and documents such as Checklists, Reports, etc.
  • Completion of the inspection workflow will include generation of inspection work packs, preparation and administrative processing of inspection reports (including detailed photos) and storing the records.
  • Involvement in the Work Package from Kickoff, through Construction to Mechanical Completion.
  • Conduct Material and Equipment receipt inspections and complete condition inspection reports
  • Coordinate and/or undertake inspection activities and prepare inspection records as per the ITPs
  • Communicate with third party quality inspectors and specialist examination bodies/subcontractors to ensure that procedures and testing methods comply with the relevant standards.
  • Participate in site audits as requested by the QA/QC Lead
  • Review of Sub-Contractors systems including Operators Qualifications, Training Records, FIC’s, materials and weld tracking systems, NDT etc.

Essential Requirements


  • 10+ years of project experience with minimum 5 years in oil, gas industry.
  • Trade Qualified or Engineer.
  • Experience working in Brownfield (live plant) environment.
  • Experience working under Safe-Work-Permitting system.
  • Welding Inspector qualification (i.e., 1796 Certificate 10, CSWIP 3.1).
  • Demonstrated understanding Quality Management Systems and the implementation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal and presentation) to motivate and influence and work as an integral team member.
  • Proven analytical, organising, planning and problem-solving skills with sound technical knowledge in areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Minimum basic Microsoft Office Suite and QC Database skills

Desirable:

  • Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment.
  • Some exposure to related disciplines including CIVIL, and COATING
  • ISO 9001 Auditor qualifications
  • Confined Space Entry Certificate
  • Working at Heights Certificate
