About the role:

The main purpose of the position is leading and managing the Project Quality operations during engineering phase of a project, supporting the Project Quality Manager. Providing an advanced level of technical expertise in the application of quality principals in engineering.

Coordinate with engineers and engineering management to resolve identified quality issues. Interface with engineering staff and Client representative, as necessary. Assess engineering processes for adequacy, compliance, and effectiveness.

  • Set a good example for the project Quality teams in the areas of ethics, HSSE, cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and quality behaviors.
  • Comply with all Project HSSE requirements i.e. PPE, work Permits etc.
  • Analyze, report, and give recommendations for developing strategies on how to improve quality performance on assigned projects.
  • Be proactive in identifying areas of improvement and create suitable action plans to improve project performance.
  • Produce weekly / monthly reports to the leadership as applicable.
  • Work cross functionally to design, develop and track project quality objectives
  • Exercise objectivity when defining findings from audits with a pragmatic view to the spirit of the system and the requirements of the applicable standards.
  • Utilize where possible more efficient methods of communication / travel to maximize cost effectiveness of the project quality activities.
  • Support early and continuous engagement with the Project Management team.
  • Ensure an induction program is in place on the project, and carry out inductions when needed.
  • Interface and coordinate with clients for continual improvements in the system by implementation of the QMS, preparing corrective and preventive actions, lessons learned etc.
  • Ensure that the project activities are undertaken and aligned with the client, vendor and company quality control system requirements and advise the Project Management Team in case of any deviation.
  • Conduct scheduled audits across the project as defined within the audit schedule.
  • Validate data and results contained in checklists / test records etc.
  • Where required, support the development of project specific method statements.
  • Provide client side support to the project team as needed.
  • Provide analytical data and recommend improvements in QC areas.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

  • Diploma holder or higher qualification – Degree holder preferred
