Job Responsibility

  • Front-End Engineering Design (FEED): Lead and manage the FEED activities for static equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks) and package systems (e.g., compressors, pumps, skids) for oil and gas projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge of static equipment design principles, package systems, codes (e.g., ASME, API), and industry best practices to ensure compliance and high-quality engineering deliverables.
  • Equipment and Package Selection: Work with project stakeholders to identify the most suitable static equipment and package systems based on project specifications, process requirements, and performance criteria.
  • Cost Estimation and Optimization: Prepare detailed cost estimates for static equipment and package systems, and propose optimization opportunities to enhance project efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with process engineers, piping engineers, instrumentation engineers, and other disciplines to integrate static equipment and package designs seamlessly into the overall project.
  • Risk Assessment and Safety: Identify potential hazards and risks associated with static equipment and package systems and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Vendor Management: Interface with equipment and package vendors to evaluate technical proposals, review specifications, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional development and knowledge growth in static equipment and package design.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and drawings to communicate FEED status and outcomes to project stakeholders and management.
  • Project Management: Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for FEED activities related to static equipment and package systems.

Qualification and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Significant experience (15+ years) in static equipment and package system design within the oil and gas industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of static equipment design, package systems, and relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API).
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools used for static equipment and package system design and analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead and deliver FEED work within established timelines and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to HSE regulations.


Skills Requirement:

· International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices

· Proficiency in design and detailed engineering of Rotating Equipment and Packages

· Proficiency with API codes is mandatory

· Sound understanding of rotodynamic and aerodynamic analysis of equipment

· Sound understanding in equipment selection along with auxiliaries

· Mechanical workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination

· Project management and control procedures

· Project Mechanical Deliverables

· Project Risk Assessment

· Adherence to HSE norms
