Scope of Work:

Principal Proposals Engineer (Part-time) – Inside of IR35 who will be responsible for writing and coordinating the technical content of bids and proposals for Studies, Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design projects. The successful candidate will be supporting the UK Engineering and Projects Leadership Team, working in collaboration with our Proposals team to generate high quality technical content, and co-ordinate the inputs from the Engineering Disciplines and Engineering Management into Bids and Proposals for clients.

The Principal Proposals Engineer will overall report to our Group Manager Project Engineering Management and our UK Engineering Proposals Lead.

Key Deliverables:

  • Coordinates the technical input into Bids and Proposals, working closely with the Engineering Management Team, and the Global Proposals Function.
  • Participates in the planning and scheduling of the Engineering & Technical inputs into our Bids and Proposals
  • Monitors the inputs, checks for consistency and accuracy of the work, and maintains strong communication with the key stakeholders in the overall process.
  • Elicits participation of the engineering team members in delivering their respective work scopes and anticipates and resolves any issues arising out of the same.
  • Has the ability to also write the technical bids with support from others. Some previous experience is beneficial and the willingness to learn is a requirement.
  • Ensures compliance with Kent’s ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures. Complying with other Kent accredited frameworks such as ISO14001.
  • Performs related duties as and when instructed by Direct Supervisor.
  • Coordinating with Project Engineering Managers for their technical input and feedback.
  • Coordinates the production of the technical inputs for Bids and Proposal across the full range of the project lifecycle. Coordinates input from multiple offices, engineering disciplines, procurement, project controls and third parties.
  • Manages and plans own work. Decisions limited to that delegated by Direct Supervisor.
  • Duties essentially performed in Main Office. Time spent in planning, coordination, and attending meetings. Required to travel to other Kent offices, Client’s offices, and attend site visits as necessary, in accordance with corporate or prospective project requirements.
  • Our team will be expected to be in the office nominally 3 days a week to help build that positive team culture.
  • Generate high quality technical content, and co-ordinate the inputs from the Engineering Disciplines and Engineering Management into Bids and Proposals for clients.
