--- title: Kent awarded FEED contract at Total’s Port Arthur Refinery in Texas date: 2021-06-08T10:34:00+01:00 author: Jan Jamil canonical_url: "https://kentplc.com/news-insights/kent-awarded-feed-contract-at-totals-port-arthur-refinery-in-texas" section: Blog --- 08 Jun 2021 Project News # Kent awarded FEED contract at Total’s Port Arthur Refinery in Texas ****Houston, Texas, USA**:** Kent has been awarded a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for Phase II and III for the Light Naphtha Disposition (LND) project at Port Arthur Refinery in Port Arthur, TX, US, from Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. The project scope of work consists of developing a FEED package to debottleneck the saturated liquids (SATS) unit, including connecting new piping from the condensate splitter to the SATS unit, performing a cooling tower study, connecting a new power feed from the new SATS motor control center to the condensate splitter and implementing UOP Merox caustic regeneration modifications. As one of the Total Group's six refining and petrochemicals platforms worldwide, the Port Arthur Refinery has a daily processing capacity of 238,000 barrels per day and is Total’s largest facility in the US. The refinery can process heavy crude oil, as well as lighter domestic crudes.
