*Kent is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor to support the Woodfibre LNG Project in Squamish, British Columbia. The Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor leads and executes mechanical commissioning activities to ensure systems and equipment are installed, tested, commissioned, and transitioned to operations safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. The role provides technical leadership during mechanical system start-up, functional and performance testing, troubleshooting, system completion, and handover. The Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor will work closely with Construction, Engineering, Controls, Electrical, Operations, vendors, and other project stakeholders to ensure commissioning activities are safely and successfully completed in accordance with the Woodfibre LNG project schedule and commissioning requirements.*

**Skills and Responsibilities:**   
**Responsibilities:**  
• Develop and implement mechanical commissioning plans, procedures, work packs, and schedules.  
• Coordinate mechanical commissioning activities with Construction, Engineering, Controls, Electrical, Operations, and other project disciplines.  
• Verify mechanical system readiness through inspections, pre-functional checklists, system walkdowns, and punch list closure.  
• Lead functional, performance, and integrated testing of mechanical systems and equipment.  
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to commissioning technicians, mechanical contractors, and other personnel involved in commissioning activities.  
• Assign commissioning activities, monitor progress, and ensure project commissioning milestones and priorities are achieved.  
• Provide technical direction and field leadership during mechanical equipment start-up, testing, and troubleshooting.  
• Ensure commissioning protocols, project safety requirements, permit-to-work requirements, and approved procedures are followed.  
• Witness and oversee pressure testing, flushing, chemical cleaning, balancing, and other mechanical commissioning activities as applicable.  
• Coordinate vendor start-up and commissioning activities and ensure required documentation is completed.  
• Validate mechanical system sequences of operation in coordination with Controls and other applicable disciplines.  
• Support system reliability testing, operational demonstrations, and performance verification.  
• Review mechanical commissioning test reports, checklists, logs, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.  
• Identify and track commissioning deficiencies and ensure timely resolution prior to system acceptance.  
• Compile and review mechanical turnover packages, including test data, commissioning records, O&amp;M manuals, and as-built documentation.  
• Support final system handover and the training of Operations and Maintenance personnel.  
• Manage commissioning work packs from initiation through testing, completion, and final handover.  
• Promote compliance with applicable Kent, client, project, and site policies, procedures, standards, and commissioning requirements.  
• Ensure team members understand their responsibilities and authority in implementing applicable policies, procedures, and project requirements.  
• Ensure mandatory training requirements are completed by the supervisor and assigned team members within required timelines.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

  
**Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:**   
**Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:**   
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent technical education and experience.  
• Minimum five (10+) years of demonstrated experience in commissioning supervision within the EPCI industry.  
• Previous experience supporting commissioning, start-up, or system completion activities on LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, or other major industrial projects is strongly preferred.  
• Strong knowledge of mechanical commissioning processes, procedures, system completion, start-up, testing, and handover.  
• Demonstrated experience managing commissioning work packs from initiation through final system handover.  
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and systems and associated commissioning requirements.  
• Familiarity with applicable industry regulations, standards, codes, project specifications, and commissioning requirements.  
• Experience with mechanical testing activities including pressure testing, flushing, chemical cleaning, balancing, functional testing, and equipment start-up.  
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&amp;IDs, specifications, vendor documentation, commissioning procedures, and other technical documentation.  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant commissioning management software.  
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset.  
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.

  
**Communication:**  
• Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.  
• Strong interpersonal and coordination skills with the ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.  
• Ability to provide clear technical direction to commissioning personnel, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.  
• Ability to effectively communicate commissioning status, priorities, technical issues, deficiencies, and corrective actions to project leadership.
