About the job:

Kent is recruiting a Maintenance Manager, for a project in Bahrain. The selected candidate must have Maintenance and Commissioning experience of Refinery and Petrochemical.

Your responsibilities:

  • Plan & coordinate all maintenance activities from routine PM’s through complex shutdown / outage activities ensuring that maintenance activities are completed on schedule to allow a timely start-up of plant
  • Must have Maintenance and Commissioning of Refinery and Petrochemical experience
  • Advance the development of the maintenance programs of the facility and project
  • Ownership of the maintenance reliability model for the facility
  • Regular assessment of the competency and training requirements of the maintenance team
  • Liaise with the commissioning team and arrange for maintenance staff to participate in commissioning activities
  • Ownership and continuous auditing & development of maintenance procedures, quality check sheets and PM’s
  • Must be aware of Industry Standards and Relevant International Codes
  • Must be able to plan associated activities, and acquire the resources to mobilize all required personnel and equipment on time
  • Must be conversant with the Contract and the Contracting System and must have authority to act on all aspects of the work for the Contractor;
  • Must have a good skill for managing a maintenance organization even during emergencies
  • Own plant compliance and ensure it meets standards by conducting audits, assigning actions and verifying close out to completion;
  • Role will the central contact point for maintenance interfaces with other departments such as projects, engineering and contractors
  • Role will be expected to remain update to date with industry technical standards, regulatory standards and technical specifications

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification:

  • B.E in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Skills Requirement:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Maintenance and Commissioning of Refinery and Petrochemical
  • At least 10 years experience leading project pre-commissioning and commissioning activities


  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills
  • Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills

Core Competencies:

  • Experience in PMC/ EPC organization in the field of Refinery/ Petrochemicals industries in handling commissioning of major projects
