About the job:
Kent is looking for a Lead Project Engineer to be based in our Houston, TX office and support regional project site(s).
As a key member of the Project Management team, the Lead Project Engineer is responsible for the management and coordination of all technical aspects of engineering projects. This role ensures that engineering is aligned with corporate goals and is complete, accurate and constructible for all elements of a project's scope.
You will oversee engineering performance and coordinate all contractor and owner's engineering interfaces in addition to ensuring projects are completed according to project requirements and in accordance with project specifications, quality and performance requirements. You will be responsible for coordinating efforts of cross-functional teams and building effective relationships with key internal/external stakeholders, including contractors. The Lead Project Engineer is required to work directly with the Project Manager and Project Controls Specialist to ensure process alignment and compliance.

| Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: | |
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: - Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- Professional registrations or license is not required but is preferred.
- 15 plus years’ related experience in design engineering or consulting required. Industry (Refinery, Petrochemical, Gas Processing, or Related Industry.
- Previous Engineering & Construction (E&C) experience is preferred.
- Minimum 10 plus years in Project Engineering role required.
- Previous experience working in large FEED or EPC projects.
- In depth understanding of the Oil & Gas industry, and stakeholders including operators, EPC providers, Engineering houses, classification societies, fabrication yards and installation companies.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other related programs.
- Proven experience on Project Execution.
