About the job:

Kent is looking for a Piping Principal Engineer, to support ongoing workshare projects.

Skills and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Plans, Drawings and Diagrams: Prepare plans, drawings and diagrams for each project, applying specific knowledge, standards and norms established for each document, in order to ensure that the requirements and needs raised by the client and the Projects are met within the deadlines defined in the Detailed Work Program and with the Quality and Compliance parameters stipulated in the Value Promise.
  • Technical Support: Support the Engineers of the specialty in the preparation, review, complementation or expansion of the technical standards generally applied, in accordance with procedures established by the Company and requests from the Clients, in order to optimize and facilitate the development of the projects.
  • Support in Audit Issues: Participate in the solution of findings of internal audits, periodic verifications and/or reports of non-conformity issued by the Quality Area, in accordance with the request of their Immediate Superior, in order to support the performance of activities that allow closing corrective and/or preventive actions for the timely development of improvement actions.
  • In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • Bachiller academic or technical.
  • Draughtsman, Technician or Technologist related to the Specialty.
  • Basic/Intermediate level of English desirable.
  • Advanced management of Drawing software (AutoCAD 2D and 3D), CADWorx and Autoplant.
  • SmartPlant and SmartScketch experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of Office Suite, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent knowledge and handling of key documents from other disciplines: PFD's, P&ID's, equipment and instrument data sheets, topographic surveys.
  • Expert handling of Piping Class and P&ID's material specification.
  • Extensive knowledge of Piping, Material and Dimensional Design Standards (ASME, ASTM, API).
  • Solid Design and Flexibility Criteria.
  • Expert handling of the Piping Documents: MTO, work quantities, requisitions, technical specifications, bases and design criteria.
  • PipeData Pro Management Field experience.
  • Workshare projects experience.

Communication:

  • Excellent command of the Spanish - English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

  • Experience in the preparation of detailed Piping Plans, Isometrics, support booklets, connections to instruments, vents, drains, lists of materials, material requisitions, work quantities, technical specifications, field information gathering.
  • Experience in defining equipment distribution, pipeline corridors, area distribution, design coordination, technical reviews, configuration of design software and preparation of design bases and criteria.

The Employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company; it’s clients and the governing authorities of the host country.
