About the job:

Kent is seeking a Lead Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist who will be part of a client HSE project support team involved in the design and execution of brownfield offshore oil and gas projects.

Previous Oil & Gas offshore project experience is required.


Your responsibilities:

• In a full-time secondment role, you will provide HSE/technical safety support to client's GoM brownfield projects portfolio.
• Ensure that HSE requirements, particularly process and personal safety requirements, are robustly identified, incorporated, communicated, mitigated and documented across the portfolio.
• Provide HSE support to project mobilizations and offshore campaigns.
• Work through others (primarily contractors to client) and provide HSE coaching and mentoring for the team as and when required.
• Oversee HSE risk assessment workshops and studies during all project lifecycle stages, including HAZIDs, HAZOPs and ALARP demonstrations for major accident hazards through application of the client HSE Management Process.
• Work with key project and portfolio stakeholders to build sustainable relationships with the brownfield projects organization.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of process safety experience with Oil & Gas Offshore project experience.
• Offshore Oil & Gas project experience is required.
• Professional certification/registration is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills to work with multi-disciplined team and managers.

Communication:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
