About the job:
Kent is looking for a Process Safety/Technical Safety Lead to be based in Houston, TX.

You will be part of a client project Process Safety support team involved in the design and execution of a greenfield offshore oil and gas project.

Previous Oil & Gas offshore project experience is required.

Skills and Responsibilities:
  • In a full-time secondment role, you will provide HSE/technical and process safety support to client's greenfield project.
  • Ensure that HSE requirements, particularly process and personal safety requirements, are robustly identified, incorporated, communicated, mitigated and documented for the project.
  • Work through others (primarily contractors to client) and provide HSE coaching and mentoring for the team as and when required.
  • Oversee HSE risk assessment workshops and studies including HAZIDs, HAZOPs and ALARP demonstrations for major accident hazards through application of the client HSE Management Process.
  • Work with key project and portfolio stakeholders to build sustainable relationships with the project organization.


In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of process safety experience with Oil & Gas Offshore project experience.
  • Offshore Oil & Gas project experience is required.
  • Professional certification/registration is preferred.


Communication:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with multi-discipline team and managers.
