About the role: The successful candidates will be based in Perth and responsible for leading the electrical and instrumentation design deliverables and developing and maintaining awareness of changes in the relevant technology and design tools to ensure Kent is applying best practice for high levels of efficiency and effectiveness. We work across the energy industry spectrum, from serving the conventional energy markets of upstream oil and gas, LNG, refineries and petrochemical and into a more sustainable future including offshore wind, carbon capture and hydrogen. You will be responsible for the following:
Perform all work in accordance with the Kent Quality Management System and within agreed project time and schedule constraints.
Provide expert advice and assistance to the design team on issues across greenfield and brownfield projects using 2D and 3D tools.
Contribution to the professional development of the designers.
Responsible for the deliverables produced by the design team including distribution and allocation of work amongst the team and subsequent checking.
Develop and maintain awareness of changes in the relevant technology and design tools to ensure Kent is applying best practice for high levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
Liaise with the other members of the team and other disciplines to ensure all design requirements are addressed.
Liaise with clients engineering, construction, and operations personnel to ensure all project requirements have been addressed.
Design inputs to BoDs, Scopes of Work, Specifications, Data Sheets, Material Requisitions and MTOs.
Preparation of man-hours and resources for design group.
Site investigations for preparation and checking of work scopes.
Development of ‘best-practice’ guidelines for the team in the production of deliverables and inputs for the multidiscipline team members.
