About the job:


Kent is seeking a Project Quality Coordinator to coordinate with management and employees the direction for the company's Quality programs and policies related to engineering and field facilities.


This is a hybrid work opportunity and will be based at our West Houston office location.


Your responsibilities:


  • Coordinate the Project Quality operations during engineering phase of a project, supporting the Quality Manager.
  • Facilitate with engineers and engineering management to resolve identified quality issues.
  • Interface with engineering staff and Client representative, as necessary.
  • Audit engineering processes for adequacy, compliance, and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory organizations and all applicable state and federal laws.
  • Schedule and coordinate Quality training; and provide information to facility departments for meeting topics and reference materials.
  • Perform annual internal audits of the Quality programs and facilitate external audits.
  • Identifying areas of improvement and create suitable action plans to improve project performance.
  • Produce weekly / monthly reports to the leadership as applicable.
  • Conduct scheduled audits across the project as defined within the audit schedule.
  • Exercise objectivity when defining findings from audits with a pragmatic view to the spirit of the system and the requirements of the applicable standards.
  • Utilize where possible more efficient methods of communication / travel to maximize cost effectiveness of the project quality activities.
  • Perform and assist with incident investigations and 'root cause' analysis.
  • Correspond with lead Quality department staff regarding reports and communications.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.


Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:


Qualification/ Certification:


  • Diploma holder or higher qualification required. Degree holder preferred.
  • Auditor certification from a recognized organization is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience in quality management methodology.

Skills Requirement:


  • Proficient skills in the Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven organization, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards.


Communication:


  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
