We are conducting the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for Fulcrum BioEnergy's NorthPoint project, a groundbreaking initiative to convert approximately 600,000 tonnes of pre-processed waste into 100 million litres of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This project marks Fulcrum BioEnergy's first commercial-scale venture in the UK, building on their success in the United States.
Our scope of work includes providing engineering services, cost-estimating, identifying long lead procurement items, managing multiple licensors, and execution planning. This comprehensive approach supports tendering for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and aims to achieve the project's financial investment decision (FID). The physical scope encompasses process plant units, utilities, third-party connections, and the waste feedstock receipt facility.
Building on prior collaboration with Fulcrum in the UK, we are leveraging our expertise to ensure the project's success. The NorthPoint project also benefits from a UK Government Grant under the Advanced Fuels Fund (AFF), highlighting its significance in the journey to Net Zero, specifically in decarbonising the transport sector.
