About the job:

Q-Captains are the discipline lead are also known as “Discipline Focal Point” JFJV, Contractor and their Subcontractors and where relevant, vendors, roles and responsibilities are to ensure successful implementation of the FPD program for their respective Q-Areas by achieving and sustaining the project quality KPIs which specifically address FPD.


Your responsibilities:

In addition to the general roles and responsibilities of Q-captain's specific roles and responsibilities are to:



During the Engineering and Procurement phase:

· Include "Build it clean philosophy and Best Practices Cleanliness" requirements in the ITT's to subcontractors and vendors

· Discuss and agree Company’s Cleanliness philosophy and include actions in relevant management systems

· Include specific Flawless Project Delivery Cleanliness requirements in Contractor's QA/QC system as Inspection and Test Plans, check sheets, Hold and Witness plan, etc. Take care that all purchase orders contain typical Cleanliness requirements

· Develop competence-based Cleanliness Training Course and schedule for all relevant people involved in construction

· Develop and agree with the Company the Cleanliness management Systems and Procedures e.g., Preservation procedures etc.

· Ensure that Contractor Shop Inspection Engineers understand and includes typical Flawless Cleanliness requirements in his/her inspection


During the Construction and Commissioning and Start-up:

· Ensure proper execution of cleaning activities (Blowing, Flushing, Chem. cleaning, preservation etc.) and ensure that the Company and Contractor representatives sign off cleaning documents

· Ensure that the specific Flawless Project Delivery Cleanliness requirements as in Contractor's QA/QC system e.g., in Inspection and Test Plans and QA/QC procedures and check sheets are fully implemented

· Identify record, report, and investigate all "Cleanliness Issues" to enable accurate measurement of the Cleanliness performance vs. Cleanliness Final KPI's

· Ensure that Cleanliness is addressed in toolbox meetings at site Good general understanding of maintenance procedures and requirements, plant construction, testing and the plant inspection process

· Perseverance to ensure specification is met

· Enable Company’s involvement in all stages of the instrument / safeguarding testing activities

· Ensure that QA/QC check sheets include instrument integrity requirements and hold & witness points and are followed-up and signed-off by the Company


Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification:

· Possess a relevant degree and/or equivalent Journeyman Electrician with quality experience

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry

· Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) version 2020


Skills/Requirements:

· Good general understanding of mechanical maintenance procedures and requirements plant construction, testing and the plant inspection process

· Good general understanding of the process systems project wide

· Good general understanding of Flawless Project Delivery and its application within tightness

· Good coordination and communications ability

· Perseverance to ensure that specifications are met

· Good general understanding of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures related to cleanliness

· Good general understanding of the process systems project wide

· Good general understanding of Flawless and its application within cleanliness

Excellent communication (written/verbal) skills
